SRA – Applied Reservist Shooting
SRA is a functional shooting sport whose main goals are to practice safe weapon handling and shooting skills, increase speed and accuracy while performing various shooting tasks (stages) according to the description of the combat situation.
The SRA exercises are built according to an imaginary combat situation and are performed as defined by the situation description. Stages often include fast movement, magazine changes, hand grenade throwing and different style targets. A hit coefficient is calculated from the crosshairs based on the time spent and the result of the hits. The higher the hit rate, the better.
The main weapons used in the SRA are the rifle, carbine, shotgun, pistol and sniper rifle.
Participation in SRA requires membership in the reservists' association, an approved SRA course, an approved SRA shooting test and a valid shooting insurance.
SRA is a good hobby to develop and maintain the shooting skills that belong to the voluntary national defense. You can get more information about SRA courses and exercises from the local Reservist Associations or the events calendar of the Reservist Association.
Right now is more than a good time to start a new fun functional hobby.
